FAQs about The Idea Collective co-working spaces
Do I have to be a member to use the space?
Member is just our way of saying a person who is part of our community. It was my way of emphasising that we’re not landlords – we’re facilitators of a community that shares space. Possibly need to ditch the term – but I don’t want to use “tenant” or anything that sounds like a real estate agent term. Maybe we just need to clarify somewhere what a member is and how you become a member. Essentially you fill out a form and show ID – this is also about safety so it’s not just randoms walking around the space. Neither space has an open door – access by newcomers or visitors is by appointment only – but after you become a member you get a key or access codes.
Is there parking nearby?

When can I access the spaces?
Access to both buildings is by appointment only – except for Members who have their own key or access codes and are free to come and go as they please. Desk rates are based on average usage being in normal business hours Monday to Friday. If a member is substantially using the space out of business hours then a 5% surcharge may be applied. Meeting or consulting room use is often out of normal business hours which is considered normal and surcharges not applied.
